I got kicked out of math class in high school. I was a bit of a troublemaker — mohawk and all. The principal walked me down the hall saying “I don't know what to do with you” and put me into Mrs. Frink's art class.

I ate it up. I couldn't get enough. I finished the beginner work and dove straight into the advanced classes at the same time.

At some point Mrs. Frink asked if I could draw a cartoon cow for a BBQ restaurant. And they'd pay me $50?! The light bulb clicked. I could get paid for doing what I love.

I often refer to my job as “play.” It's not that it isn't serious — I just love it that much.

My dad was a Lutheran minister for over 35 years. The mohawk years were trying for him, to say the least. But what I learned from watching him was what it truly means to serve.

That's our brand promise. Every call, every email, every new connection starts with the same question: “How can I help you today?” I'm inherently curious. I want to partner, collaborate, and create with the fascinating people I meet every day.
